The Tuatha Dé Danann
- Angus
- Son of the Dagda and known as "Mac Oc" - "son of the young/young god". Associated with love and beauty. He owned a harp which played such sweet music that everyone who heard it would follow the sound. His kisses became invisible birds which would hover over young lovers and whisper to them thoughts of love.
- Badb
- The "fury". A war goddess.
- Bilé
- A god of the underworld who is believed to be the husband of Danu
- Boann
- Wife of the Dagda and associated with the river Boyne
- Bodb the Red
- Son of the Dagda and later a ruler of the Tuatha Dé Danann
- Brian, Iuchar & Iucharba
- Sons of Tuirenn and murders of Cian
- Brigit
- Daughter of the Dagda and goddess of fire, hearth and poetry. Married to Bress the Fomor. Later adopted by early Christians as saint Bridget.
- Cairpré
- Son of Ogma and bard of the Tuatha Dé Danann
- Camulus
- Meaning "heaven". Associated with war and battle and owner of an invincible sword. His five female consorts Fea, Nemon, Badb, Macha and Morrígú were all war goddesses.

- Cian
- Son of Diancecht. Married to Ethniu, daughter of the Fomor Balor.
- Credné
- God of bronze work.
- Dagda
- Known as the "good god". An earth god who created the seasons by playing his magic harp. He owned a magic cauldron called "The Undry" where all would find food. He was reputedly very fond of porridge and was a great warrior
- Danu (Anu/Ana)
- The universal mother. Associated with the earth and it's fruitfulness.
- Diancecht
- God of medicine
- Etan
- Wife of Ogma and daughter of Diancecht
- Etain
- Wife of Mider who was abducted by Angus and ultimately reborn in human form.
- Fea
- The "hateful". A war goddess.
- Goibniu
- The smith god. Provided and ale for the "feast of age" which all who drank made invulnerable.

- God of carpentry
- Lugh
- Son of Cian and sun god. Called "lamhfada" - "long-handed/far shooter". Owned a rod-sling (sometimes seen in the sky as a rainbow) and a magical spear so bloodthirsty that it had to be kept in a sleeping-draft of pounded poppies. He also had a marvellous hound and self-renewing pigs acquired for him, amongst other things, by the sons of Tuirenn as a blood fine for murdering his father Cian.

- Manannán mac Lir
- Son of Lêr. God of the headlands and patron of sailors and merchants. Owner of two spears ("yellow shaft" and "red javelin") three sword ("the retaliator", "great fury" and "little fury"), a boat called "wave sweeper" and a horse called "splendid mane". He also had a magic breast plat and mail that no weapon could pierce, a cloak of invisibility and a herd of self-renewing pigs. Held the "feast of age" where all who eat would not grow old.

- Children of Diancecht who also became healers
- Mider
- Son of the Dagda and a god of the underworld. He owned three wonderful cows, a magic cauldron and the "Three Cranes of Denial and Churlishness". Married to Etain.
- Morrígú
- The great queen and supreme war goddess. She had a battle cry as loud as ten thousand men and was present at all battles either in her own form or as a "hoodie" (carrion crow) to incite warriors. She is invariably accompanied by Fea, Nemon, Badb and Macha
- Nemon
- The "venomous". A war goddess.
- Nuada
- Known as Argetlám - "The silver handed" due to his artificial silver hand made for him by Diancecht. He ruled the Tuatha Dé Danann briefly and was associated with war
- Ogma
- Also known as Cermait - "the honey-mouthed". Son of the Dagda and a god of literature and eloquence who is claimed to have invented the Ogam alphabet. He was the professional strongman and Champion of the Tuatha Dé Danann. Married to Etan.
