Beautiful mortal loved by Persephone and Aphrodite. He spends one third of his time on his own and one third with each of the goddesses
Alcestis
Daughter of King Pelias of Thessaly. Destined to be the wife of whoever could yolk a lion and a boar, a task that was accomplished by Admetus with the help of Apollo. Died in place of Admetus and rescued from the underworld by Hercules.
Alceme
Daughter of Electryon and wife of Amphitryon. Refused to sleep with her husband until he had avenged her brother's death. On his return from completing his task her husband found her pregnant as she had mistakenly slept with Zeus, disguised as Amphitryon. Mother of the twins Hercules, son of Zeus and Iphicles, son of Amphitryon. Zeus protected her and Hercules from the wrath of Hera.
Anchises
Father of Aeneas and lover of Venus. Blinded for revealing Aeneas' parentage.
Andromache
Daughter of Eetion and wife of Hector. Carried off by Neoptolemus, son of Achilles, after the fall of Troy. Bore three sons for Neoptolemus. Later married Helenus, a fellow Trojan captive.
Andromeda
Daughter of Cassiope and Cepheus, king of the Ethiopians. Destined to be sacrificied to a sea monster which had been sent in revenge for her mother claiming she was fairer than the Nereids. Rescued by Perseus.
Antiope
Lover of Zeus (disguised as a satyr). Mother of Amphion and Zethus.
Ariadne
Daughter of Pasiphae and King Minos. Assisted Theseus in defeating the Minotaur. Married Dionysus after being deserted by Theseus.
Atlanta
Daughter of Iasus of Arcadia. Thrown out by her father who had wanted a son and subsequently raised in the forest. A great huntress who spurned the attentions of men. Married Melanion after he beat her in a contest. Both she and her husband were turned into wolves.
Circe
Daughter of Helios and a powerful witch. Lover of Odysseus for one year.
Clytemnestra
Daughter of Leda adn Tyndareos, King of Sparta. Wife of Agamemnon. She and her lover, Aegisthus murdered Agamemnon. Eventually killed by her son, Orestes.
Danae
Mother of Perseus and daughter of Acrisius. Locked into a tower by her father as it was prophesised that her son would kill Acrisius. Lover of Zeus who reached her diguised as a shower of goldern rain. Subsequently banished with Perseus, her son by Zeus.
Dido
Her brother killed her husband. Later founded Carthage and became the lover of Aeneas. Killed herself after Aeneas left her.
Endymion
Lover of Selene who was put into an eternal sleep to stop him ageing.
Europa
Daughter of Telephassa and King Agenor of Tyre. Carried off by Zeus. Mother of Minos, Radamantys and Sarpedon. Later married Asterius, who was given Talos, a bronze man, to guard his realm by Zeus to make up for Europa's lost virginity.
Helen
Daughter of Zeus and Leda and wife of Menelaus. Ran off with Paris, thus starting the Trojan war.
Hero
Priestess of Ahprodite and thus sworn to an oath of chastity. Secretly met with her lover Leander until he drowned.
Hippolyta
Amazon queen and lover of Theseus.
Io
Priestess of Hera. Zeus turned her into a white heifer so he could sleep with her. Forgivven by Hera and returned to human form.
Leda
Daughter of King Thestius of Aetolia and wife of King Tyndareos. Mother of the dioscuri, Helen and Clyemnestra. Lover of Zeus who appeared to her as a swan.
Medea
Daughter of Aietes, King of Colchis and skilled in magic. First wife of Jason, then married King Aegeus of Athens. Mother of Medus.
Orpheus
Thracian singer who was the son of Calliope, muse of epic poems. Husband of Eurydice who he persued into the underworld after her death. Killed by the female worshipers of Dionyssus, the maenads. His decapitated head is said to float down river calling out for Eurydice.
Paris
Son of Priam. Judged a beauty contest of the goddesses. Ran off with Helen, starting the Trojan war. Killed Achilles.
Pasiphae
Daughter of Helios and wife of Minos. Cursed to fall in love with a white bull, to whom she bore the Minotaur.
Penelope
Daughter of Icarius, King of Sparta and the nymph Peribaea. The faithfull wife of Odysseus.
Persephone
Daughter of Zeus and Demeter who was carried off by Hades to be his bride. Spent half the year in Hades, the other half with Demeter. Lover of Adonis.
Phaedra
Daughter of Minos and Pasiphae and wife of Theseus. Killed herself due to her illicit desire for her stepson, Hippolytus, son of Hippolyta.
Psyche
Beautiful princess and lover of Cupid.
Rhea Silvia
Only child of Numitor, King of Alba Longa. Mother of Romulus and all his glory. Died in flames due to the magesty of Zeus. Mother of Dionyssus.
Semele
Lover of Zeus and mother of dionysus. Died after seeing Zeus in all his splendor.
Tithonus
Lover of Eos. Made immortal by Zeus on the request of Eos. However Eos forgot to ask for eternal youth for him and thus he was made immortal but old.
