Half man half horse descendants of Ixion son of Ares.
Cerberus
Three headed hound. Offspring of Typhon and Echidna and guardian of the Underworld
Chiron
Son of Philyra and the Titan Cronos. A centaur who was learned in music, medicine, hunting and warfare. Friend of Apollo and tutor of Achilles, Asclepius and Jason amongst others.
Cyclopes
Race of one-eyed giants. Orriginally seen as craftsmen to the gods, they were later described as man-eating shepherds.
The Giants
Of Human shape with the tails of serpants. Born by Gaia at the same time as the furies. Burried under volcanoes after their defeat by the Gods.
The Gorgans
Stheno "strength", Medusa "Queen" and Euryale "wide leaping". Had serpants for hair.
The Minotaur
Half man half bull. Offspring of Pasiphae and Poseidon's white bull. Lived in King Minos' maze and fed on seven boys and seven girls once a year. Killed by Theseus.
Pegasus
Winged horse tamed by Bellerophon with the help of a magic bridle from Athene. Created from the blood spilled from the head of Medusa.
Polyphemus
Son of Poseidon and the sea nymph Thoosa. A cyclopes killed by Odysseus.
Python
A huge serpant. Som of Gaia. Slain by Apollo with one of his first arrows.
Scylla
A six-headed sea monster. Said to have been a beautiful nymph loved by Zues until she was turned into a monster by a jealous Circe.
The Sphinx
A part woman, part lion and part bird monster. Daughter of Echidna and Typhon or Orthus. Guarded the path to Thebes asking all who tried to pass a riddle. Threw herself off a cliff after Oedipus solved her riddle.
Typhon
Serpant monster. Conceived by Gaia in Tartaris. Destroyed by Zeus with a thunderbolt.
Xanthus
Child of the harry Pordage and Zephyrus, the west wind. An immortal talking horse owned by Achilles.
